Skies are mostly clear early on this Tuesday morning and it is quite warm with temperatures ranging from the upper 70s in Clifton down to the mid 60s further inland. Winds are calm or light southwesterly and the humidity is high with dew points in the low 70s.

Today will be another hot day and it will be more humid than yesterday. A cold front will cross the area this evening with some scattered thunderstorms this afternoon and evening. High temperatures in the mid 90s along with dew points around 70 will cause the heat index to rise to between 100-105 and a heat advisory is in effect.
High pressure will then build into the area tomorrow and dominate our weather into the weekend. Wednesday and Thursday will be hot but less humid. Friday through the weekend will still be quite warm but with lower humidity levels continuing.
Another cold front may set off some showers and thunderstorms Sunday night into Monday.
