Skies are mostly cloudy early on this Saturday morning and it is cool with readings ranging from the upper 50s in Clifton down to the upper 40s further inland. The humidity is low and winds are light from the north-northeast.

High pressure building in from northern New York state will give us a mostly sunny day with comfortably cool temperatures and low humidity.

Earlier this week it appeared that Sunday would be a rainy day with heavy rain possible but the frontal system has weakened and the only chance of a shower will be at night as the front comes through our area.

Mainly dry weather next week. Early morning lows Tuesday and Wednesday should be the coolest of the season so far. A slight warming trend is expected at the end of the week.

MARINE FORECAST: A small craft advisory is in effect until 7 p.m. Sunday morning for northeast winds gusting to 25 knots, seas 4-7 feet. Point Pleasant Beach’s ocean temperature is 75 degrees. There is a high risk of dangerous rip currents.

OUTLOOK – Advisories expected to continue through the middle of the week as swells from Tropical Cyclone Paulette are exected.
