Warm and humid with showers developing by this afternoon! Heavy rain likely tonight into early Wednesday morning followed by clearing Wednesday afternoon and becoming much less humid!

Skies are partly cloudy early on this Tuesday morning and temperatures range form the low 60s in Clifton down to the upper 50s further inland. Winds are calm or light southerly and the humidity continues to be high.

A southerly flow of warm and humid air will continue today as a slow moving cold front approaches from the west. Showers will develop by noontime. Southerly winds will become brisk this afternoon and continue into this evening.

Heavy showers are likely tonight with a chance of thunderstorms.

The biggest change in the forecast from yesterday is that the front will cross the area early Wednesday morning and we should see clearing by the afternoon and it will be breezy and much less humid.

Fair and comfortably mild on Thursday.

A weak low pressure may cause some light rain on Friday followed by a nice and cool fall weekend.

TODAY – SEP 29 – Becoming cloudy with showers developing by this afternoon, humid and breezy, high in the mid 70s.

TONIGHT – Showers with possible thunderstorms, some storms may be accompanied by gusty winds and heavy rain, humid, low in the low 60s. Total rainfall of 1-2 inches likely.

WEDNESDAY – SEP 30 – Cloudy early with a chance of showers before 10 a.m., clearing by the afternoon, breezy and much less humid, high in the low 70s.

THURSDAY – OCT 1 – Partly sunny, high in the low 70s.

FRIDAY – OCT 2 – Partly sunny with a chance of showers, high in the mid 60s.

SATURDAY – OCT 3 – Sunny, high in the mid 60s.

SUNDAY – OCT 4 – Sunny, high in the mid 60s.

MONDAY – OCT 5 – Partly sunny, high in the mid 60s.

MARINE FORECAST: TODAY – Southerly winds gusting to 15 knots, seas 3-4 feet. A small craft advisory has been posted effective between 5 p.m. this evening until 6 p.m. Wednesday evening.

OUTLOOK – No advisories expected Thursday through Saturday.
