Mostly sunny with record warmth again likely today! Partly sunny and continued quite mild on Tuesday! Humid on Wednesday with showers that will continue into Thursday!

Good morning!

Skies are clear on this Monday morning except for some patchy fog in some areas. Temperatures again are quite variable, here at my station it’s 51 but it is down to 43 at Clifton high school. And further inland once again higher elevations were much warmer than the inland valleys with a temperature of 63 at Vernon and only 30 degrees at Walpack.

CLIFTON’S ALMANAC FOR NOVEMBER 9TH:

AVERAGE HIGH: 56 AVERAGE LOW: 38

RECORD HIGH: 75 – 1975 RECORD LOW: 22 – 1992

YESTERDAY’S HIGH: 77 (New Record) LOW: 48 PRECIPITATION: NONE

Yesterday’s high of 77 was the 4th straight day of 70 degree plus temperatures which was the longest such streak ever recorded at my station in November, and it looks likely that we will have 2 or 3 more days in the 70s. High pressure ridge will continue to dominate our weather today, giving our area mostly sunny skies and warm temperatures with record highs likely.

Tuesday will continue to be warm and more clouds may hold high temperatures down a couple of degrees but the humidity will slightly rise.

A frontal system moving into our area will give us rain Wednesday into Thursday with 1-2 inches of rainfall likely most of the heaviest rain will fall Wednesday night into Thursday morning. Wednesday will be warm and humid as dew points rise to the mid 60s. Not as warm or humid on Thursday as the front will move to our south and east.

Dry weather with more normal temperatures Friday into the day on Saturday, but another frontal system may give us showers Saturday night into Sunday.
