Light wintery mix of snow, sleet and freezing rain developing by late this morning and continuing into early tomorrow morning! Mostly cloudy and a little milder tomorrow! Coldest air of the season likely Friday and Saturday! Good chance of snow developing on Sunday!

Skies are cloudy early on this Tuesday morning and temperatures range from around 30 in Clifton down to the low 20s further inland, winds are light northerly.

A weak area of low pressure will be moving through the area today with light snow developing around 11 a.m. mixing with light freezing rain in the afternoon and night. Frozen accumulations of 1-2 inches are likely and a winter weather advisories are in effect.

Some lingering light snow is possible early on Wednesday morning then some partial clearing is expected, temperatures will be a little milder with highs mainly in the low 40s.

High pressure building into the area on Thursday as a strong storm will be well offshore that will cause colder and windy conditions.

Friday and Saturday may be the coldest days so far this season with highs only in the 20s and overnight lows in the lower teens. Winds will be gusty on Friday but relax a little on Saturday.

Another storm system will give us a good chance of snow on Sunday possibly changing to rain on Monday. At this time it is too early to determine if there will be any significant accumulations of snow.

WEDNESDAY – JAN 27 – Chance of light snow ending in the morning then mostly cloudy and a little milder, high in the low 40s.

THURSDAY – JAN 28 – Mostly cloudy early then becoming sunny, breezy and colder, high in the low 30s.

FRIDAY – JAN 29 – Mostly sunny, windy and very cold, highs only in the mid 20s.

SATURDAY – JAN 30 – Sunny with diminishing winds, high near 30.

SUNDAY – JAN 31 – Mostly cloudy with a chance of snow, high in the mid 30s.

MONDAY – FEB 1 – Mostly cloudy with a chance of snow or rain, high in the upper 30s.

MARINE FORECAST: TODAY – Easterly winds to 15 knots, seas 3 feet.

OUTLOOK – No advisories expected during the day on Wednesday; gale warnings likely late Wednesday night through Friday; no advisories expected on Saturday.
