Partly sunny and cold today! Light snow, sleet and freezing rain late Saturday into Sunday! Stronger storm will give us a good chance of snow mixed with sleet on Tuesday!

Good morning!

Skies are partly cloudy early on this Friday morning and temperatures at 5 a.m. ranged from 17 in Clifton down to 4 in Walpack, winds are from the north around 5-10 mph.

CLIFTON’S ALMANAC FOR FEBRUARY 12TH:

AVERAGE HIGH: 39 AVERAGE LOW: 24

RECORD HIGH: 60 – 2018 RECORD LOW: 2 – 1979

YESTERDAY’S HIGH: 32 LOW: 23 PRECIPITATION: .07″ SNOWFALL 1.0″

High pressure build into the area from the west will give us a northerly flow of cold air today along with partly sunny skies. High temperatures should stay below freezing all day.

Saturday will start off dry but a low pressure area in the southeast states will approach our area giving us snow mixed with sleet Saturday night and mainly sleet and freezing rain on Sunday. The precipitation will be light with accumulations of snow and ice to be around 1 inch.

After a cold and dry Monday a stronger low pressure will affect our area on Tuesday, at this time the precipitation should be mainly in the form of snow and sleet with moderate accumulations.

And another storm is expected to affect our weather Thursday into Friday that may start off as snow but as warmer air moves in on Friday the snow may change to rain, however this storm is a week away so details of this storm will probably change a few times till then.
