More sunshine today with less wind than yesterday! Mainly dry weather the rest of this week and becoming quite mild by Tuesday!

Skies are mostly cloudy on this Sunday morning and temperatures at 5 a.m. range from 27 in Clifton down to 17 at Walpack. Winds are mainly calm.

The low pressure off the Canadian Maritimes which cause the wind and cold the last few days will be moving further offshore as high pressure builds closer to our area from the west. Today we will have more sunshine than yesterday after early morning cloudiness, temperatures will be a few degrees higher and with less wind it will feel more comfortable than yesterday.

Mainly dry weather the rest of this week, temperatures will rise to near normal on Monday and above normal Tuesday through Friday as high pressure moves offshore and a southwesterly flow of warmer air develops.

At this point next weekend should still be dry but with cooler temperatures.

THE FORECAST:

TODAY – MAR 7 – Becoming sunny, high near 40.

TONIGHT: Mostly clear, low near 20.

MONDAY – MAR 8 – Sunny, high in the low 40s.

TUESDAY – MAR 9 – Sunny and milder, high in the upper 50s.

WEDNESDAY – MAR 10 – Sunny, high near 60

THURSDAY – MAR 11 – Partly sunny, high in the mid 50s.

FRIDAY – MAR 12 – Partly sunny, high in the low 60s.

SATURDAY – MAR 13 – Partly sunny and cooler, high near 50.

MARINE FORECAST: TODAY – Northwest winds to 10 knots, seas 1 foot.

OUTLOOK – No advisories expected Monday through Wednesday; advisories possible on Thursday.
