Cloudy today with showers and possibly a thunderstorm followed by clearing and becoming breezy, cooler and much less humid tonight! Dry and seasonably cool Thursday and Friday! Unsettled weather for the weekend into early next week!

Skies are cloudy early on this Wednesday morning and there is some drizzle falling in parts of the area along with fog. Temperatures are fairly uniform with readings near 50, winds are mainly calm.

A cold front will cross the area this afternoon preceded by showers and possibly a thunderstorm, the best chance of rain will be between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. The front will be followed by a brisk northwest flow of much drier air tonight.

Dry weather is expected along with temperatures a bit below normal Thursday and Friday.

The weekend’s weather looks to be unsettled and cool with a chance of showers both days as a couple of weak disturbances move through the area.

Mainly dry weather early next week with cooler than normal temperatures continuing.

TODAY – MAY 5 – Cloudy with patchy fog with showers and possibly a thunderstorm mainly between 10 a.m. until 4 p.m., rain possibly heavy at times, high in the upper 60s.

TONIGHT – Mostly cloudy with a chance of a shower in the evening then becoming mostly clear and breezy, low in the upper 40s.

THURSDAY – MAY 6 – Sunny, high in the upper 60s.

FRIDAY – MAY 7 – Partly sunny, high in the low 60s.

SATURDAY – MAY 8 – Mostly cloudy and cool with a chance of showers, high near 60.

SUNDAY – MAY 9 – Mostly clear with a chance of showers in the afternoon and at night, high in the mid 60s.

MONDAY – MAY 10 – Mostly cloudy with a chance of a morning shower then becoming partly sunny in the afternoon, high in the mid 60s.

TUESDAY – MAY 11 – Mostly sunny, high in the mid 60s.

MARINE FORECAST: TODAY – North-northeast winds to 10 knots seas 2 feet.

OUTLOOK – A small craft advisory has been posted effective between 8 p.m. tonight until 8 a.m. Thursday morning; no advisories expected Thursday afternoon through Sunday.
