RECORD HIGH: 95 – 2018 RECORD LOW: 51 – 2001

YESTERDAY’S HIGH: 80 LOW: 61 PRECIPITATION: .63″

A weak trough will give us a cloudy day today with some showers. It will be unseasonably cool with highs only in the 60s. Not a good start for the holiday weekend but better than the Memorial Day holiday weekend when highs were only in the 40s.

The trough will move offshore on Sunday and we should see more sunshine and milder temperatures but there will still be a chance of mainly afternoon and evening showers or thunderstorms.

Monday will have the best weather of the holiday weekend with plenty of sunshine and seasonably mild temperatures.

The Bermuda high pressure will then dominate our weather for Tuesday and Wednesday giving our area a southwest flow of hot and humid air. Tuesday should be dry but there will be a chance of showers or thunderstorms on Wednesday.

The end of the week will be cooler and we have to watch for some moisture from a cold front approaching from the west along with some effects from the remnants of Hurricane Elsa.
