Light rain is falling over the area and temperatures at 5 a.m. range from 67 in Clifton down to 62 at Walpack. Winds are mainly calm or light southerly.

A small coastal low pressure area will slowly move up the coast today causing mainly light rain that will end by mid-morning. Skies will remain mostly cloudy this afternoon with still a chance of some scattered showers. High temperatures will only be around 80.
The low will move away on Monday but there will still be a chance of afternoon or evening showers, high temperatures will be warmer with highs in the mid to upper 80s.
A heatwave is expected Tuesday through Friday as the Bermuda high pressure gives us a southwesterly flow of hot and humid air. With the hot and humid air there will be a chance of afternoon or evening showers and thunderstorms each day.
A cold front is expected to cross the area Friday night bringing in cooler and drier air for next weekend.
