Rain has finally moved away and now we will have a heatwave today through Friday! Cooler on the weekend!

Skies are mostly clear early on this Tuesday morning and temperatures at 5 a.m. range from 71 in Clifton down to 65 at Walpack. Winds are mainly calm or light westerly and the humidity is high.

The remnants of Tropical Storm Henri has moved to the east as Bermuda high pressure builds into our area. Today we will have plenty of sunshine along with hot temperatures but the humidity will be moderate with dew points in the 60s.

Wednesday and Thursday will continue to be hot with an increase in humidity as dew points approach the 70 degree mark. Although there is a slight chance of a shower on Thursday most areas will remain dry.

A weak cold front will cross the area on Friday again with only a slight chance of a shower.

Cooler but still rather muggy weather for the weekend with only a low chance of showers on Sunday.

TONIGHT – Mostly clear, low near 70.

WEDNESDAY – AUG 25 – Sunny, hot and becoming more humid, high in the low 90s.

THURSDAY – AUG 26 – Sunny, hot and humid, high in the low 90s.

FRIDAY – AUG 27 – Mostly sunny, hot and humid, high in the low 90s.

SATURDAY – AUG 28 – Partly sunny, cooler but still humid, high near 80.

SUNDAY – AUG 29 – Partly sunny with a chance of showers, high in the low 80s.

MONDAY – AUG 30 – Partly sunny with a chance of showers, high in the upper 80s.

MARINE FORECAST: TODAY – Variable winds less than 5 knots, seas 3 feet. Point Pleasant Beach’s ocean temperature is 76 degrees.

OUTLOOK – No advisories expected Wednesday through Saturday.
