A weak cold front moves to our south overnight and skies are becoming mostly clear. Today will be a warm day and gradually become less humid. We should see some increase in clouds as moisture from the remains of Hurricane Ida moves into our area.

Rain from Ida will move into our area on Wednesday and the heaviest rain should fall from late Wednesday afternoon through Thursday morning. Rainfall amounts of 3-5 inches are expected with possible higher amounts. The ground is still rather saturated from the rain from Tropical Storm Henri so flooding is expected and a flash flood watch will be in effect.

The rain will taper off to showers Thursday morning with some clearing late in the day or at night.

Nice weather is expected for the holiday weekend with only a low chance of showers on Labor Day. Friday and Saturday will be slightly cooler than normal with low humidity. Temperatures Sunday and Monday will be slightly above normal.
