Mostly sunny and continued warm today with a chance of showers and thunderstorms late tonight! Mostly sunny and a little cooler on Tuesday! Warm and humid on Wednesday with a chance of showers!

Skies are mostly cloudy early on this Monday morning and it is quite mild with readings at 5 a.m. ranging from 72 in Clifton down to 65 at Walpack, Hackettstown and Pequest. Winds are mainly calm or light southwesterly.

Today will be a mostly sunny day, but we should still see some haze from the smoke from the western U.S. fires. Temperatures will be warm with highs in the mid 80s and the humidity will be moderate with dew points in the 60s. A front will sag to our south tonight giving our area a chance of showers and thunderstorms late tonight.

With the front to our south we will have an onshore flow of slightly cooler air on Tuesday but we should stay dry with continued moderate humidity. The front will move to our north Tuesday night as a warm front.

Wednesday will be quite warm and humid but a cold front approaching our area will give us a chance of showers in the afternoon and at night.

A chance of showers Thursday and Friday with near or slightly above normal temperatures.

At this point the upcoming weekend looks to be mainly dry and warm.

SATURDAY – SEP 18 – Partly sunny, high in the low 80s.
