Becoming mostly sunny and less humid today! Pleasant weather for the weekend with plenty of sunshine both days along with low humidity! Mainly dry with seasonable temperatures much of next week!

Skies are mostly cloudy and the overnight rain has moved just to our east. Temperatures this morning are more than 15 degrees lower than this time yesterday with readings ranging from 56 in Clifton down to 51 at High Point. Winds are calm or light northerly. Total rainfall since yesterday was 1.97″

The cold front that caused the showers and thunderstorms has moved to our east and we should see clearing this morning and we will have a mostly sunny day with seasonable temperatures and much lower humidity than the last few days.

Ideal weather for the first weekend of autumn as high pressure will dominate. Temperatures will again be near seasonable levels with low humidity.

Mainly dry weather can be expected much of next week with only a slight chance of showers Tuesday night as a weak cold front crosses the area. Temperatures will be slightly above normal Monday and Tuesday and fall to slightly below normal by the end of the week.

MARINE FORECAST: A small craft advisory is in effect until 4 p.m. this afternoon form northwest winds gusting to 20 knots, seas 4-6 feet.

OUTLOOK – No advisories expected Saturday through Wednesday.
