Skies are again cloudy early on this Monday morning and temperatures at 5 a.m. range from 60 in Clifton down to 54 at High Point and Vernon. Winds are light from the north.

Today will start off cloudy but we should finally see some sunshine by this afternoon as the weak low pressure area offshore moves further away from our area. Temperatures with the sunshine will be milder than yesterday with highs reaching the low 70s.

Most of the rest of this week will be dry with well above normal temperatures through at least Friday. Temperatures will average 10-15 degrees above normal.

A cold front is expected to give us showers on Saturday followed by clearing and cooler weather on Sunday.

TUESDAY – OCT 12 – Partly sunny, high in the mid 70s.

FRIDAY – OCT 15 – Mostly sunny, high in the low 80s.

SATURDAY – OCT 16 – Partly sunny with a chance of showers and thunderstorms, high in the upper 70s.

SUNDAY – OCT 17 – Mostly sunny and cooler, high in the upper 60s.

MARINE FORECAST: A small craft advisory continues in effect until 6 p.m. Tuesday evening for northeast winds gusting to 30 knots, seas 7-10 feet.

OUTLOOK – No advisories expected Wednesday through Friday.
