Light rain ending early this morning followed by clearing and cooler temperatures! Chilly and breezy on Tuesday! Sunny and not as cool on Wednesday! Pleasantly mild with dry weather on Thanksgiving Day!

Skies are cloudy early on this Monday morning and there is some light rain falling in much of the area. Temperatures are mild with readings at 5 a.m. ranging from 48 in Clifton down to 40 at High Point, winds are mainly from the southwest around 10 mph.

The cold front responsible for the light rain will be moving offshore and most of the rain will end by 8 a.m. We should see clearing skies by this afternoon but a northwest flow of cooler air will move into our area. Temperatures around 50 this morning will fall to near 40 by sunset.

Tuesday will be a mostly sunny but chilly and breezy day, early morning temperatures will be the coldest of the season so far with lows in the 20s.

Wednesday will be sunny but with less wind and slightly milder temperatures.

Thanksgiving Day looks quite pleasant with mostly sunny skies and seasonably mild temperatures with highs in the upper 50s. A cold front may cause some showers after midnight.

Showers are still possible Friday morning followed by clearing and again cooler weather.

The weekend at this points looks to be dry but quite cool.

TODAY – NOV 22 – Showers ending this morning by 8 a.m. then partial clearing. Morning highs near 50 will fall to near 40 by sunset.

TONIGHT – Becoming mostly clear, low in the upper 20s.

TUESDAY – NOV 23 – Mostly sunny, breezy and cool, high in the low 40s.

WEDNESDAY – NOV 24 – Sunny, high in the upper 40s.

THANKSGIVING DAY – NOV 25 – Mostly sunny and milder, high in the upper 50s. Chance of showers after midnight.

FRIDAY – NOV 26 – Chance of showers in the morning then becoming partly sunny, high in the upper 40s.

SATURDAY – NOV 27 – Mostly sunny, high in the low 40s.

SUNDAY – NOV 28 – Mostly sunny, high in the mid 40s.

MARINE FORECAST: A small craft advisory is in effect until 6 a.m. Wednesday morning for southwest winds becoming northwest by this afternoon gusting to 30 knots, seas 3-5 feet.

OUTLOOK – No advisories expected Wednesday through Friday morning; advisories likely Friday afternoon and evening.
