Partly sunny and colder today with diminishing winds! Only a low chance of light snow or flurries on Wednesday! Mostly sunny and chilly on Thursday!

Good morning everyone!

Skies are partly cloudy early on this Tuesday morning and temperatures at 5 a.m. range from 34 in Clifton down to 28 at Walpack, winds are from the west around 5-10 mph.

CLIFTON’S ALMANAC FOR DECEMBER 7TH:

AVERAGE HIGH: 46 AVERAGE LOW: 29

RECORD HIGH: 74 – 1998 RECORD LOW: 16 – 1989

YESTERDAY’S HIGH: 63 LOW: 41 PRECIPITATION: .14

Today will be much cooler but we should have partly sunny skies and winds will diminish as high pressure builds into our area, highs will be around 20 degrees cooler than on Monday.

It now appears that the low pressure that was expected to give us some snowfall will be too far to our south and we will only have a low chance of light snow or flurries on Wednesday with most areas staying dry.

High pressure will give us a mostly sunny and chilly day on Thursday.

Unsettled weather with milder temperatures Friday through the weekend and there will be a chance of rain with the best chance being on Saturday. High temperatures on Saturday will again be in the 60s. Somewhat cooler on Sunday but still above normal.

Looking further ahead, no frigid cold air is in sight in fact much of next week high temperatures should be in the 50s.
