Skies are partly cloudy early on this Tuesday morning and temperatures at 5 a.m. range from 29 in Clifton down to 16 at Pequest, winds are mainly calm.

High pressure moving off the coast will give us a light flow of milder air today as winter begins at 10:59 a.m. this morning. Skies will be mostly sunny.

A weak cold front will come through mainly dry Wednesday morning with only a slight chance of light rain which may be mixed with sleet and freezing rain well inland. Clearing and becoming breezy in the afternoon, highs will be above normal with highs in the upper 40s.

Sunny and a little cooler on Thursday as high pressure moves into our area.

Friday should be a partly sunny day with slightly milder temperatures with increasing cloudiness at night as a weak area of low pressure approaches our area.

Christmas will be mild but light rain is likely mainly in the morning as the low pressure moves through the area.

Sunday and Monday should be dry with temperatures at or slightly above normal.
