Some clearing and milder today! More light rain likely late tonight into early Wednesday morning! Mild weather to continue through the weekend but with some periods of rain!

Skies are mainly cloudy early on this Tuesday morning and temperatures at 5 a.m. range from 34 in Clifton down to 31 at High Point and Walpack. Winds are mainly calm.

A weak frontal system will be moving offshore today and we should see some sunshine along with milder temperatures and light winds. Another weak disturbance will likely give us some light rain late tonight into Wednesday morning. During the day on Wednesday it will remain cloudy with slightly cooler temperatures than today.

Still another disturbance will give us a chance of rain Thursday morning.

Friday looks to be the best day of this week with plenty of sunshine and temperatures in the 50s.

A stronger low pressure system will likely give us rain over the weekend that may change briefly to snow before ending Sunday night. Temperatures will continue to be mild.

Colder early next week but we should remain dry.

THURSDAY – DEC 30 – Chance of rain in the morning then mostly cloudy in the afternoon, high near 50.

FRIDAY – DEC 31 – Mostly sunny, high in the low 50s.

NEW YEAR’S DAY – JAN 1 – Showers, high in the mid 50s.

SUNDAY – JAN 2 – Mostly cloudy with a chance of showers, high in the low 50s. Snow showers possible at night.

MONDAY – JAN 3 – Mostly sunny, windy and colder, high in the mid 30s.

MARINE FORECAST: TODAY – West-northwest wind to 10 knots, seas 1-2 feet.

OUTLOOK – No advisories expected Wednesday through Saturday.
