Skies are mainly clear early on this Wednesday morning and temperatures at 5 a.m. range from 71 in Clifton down to 56 at Walpack. Winds are light from the north.

Weak high pressure in our area will give us a hot day with plenty of sunshine, however the humidity will be lower than yesterday with dew points in the low 60s.

Very hot on Thursday with increasing humidity, highs will be well up into the 90s and with dew points rising to around 70 will push the heat index to near 105. A heat advisory will be in effect.

Friday there will be a good chance of showers as a front moves into the area, high temperatures will be a little lower with the clouds and precipitation but the humidity will remain high with dew points in the low 70s.

Florida like weather with tropical humidity over the weekend that will extend to early next week. It will be very warm to hot and quite humid with a chance of mainly afternoon and evening showers and thunderstorms each day.

MONDAY – AUG 8 – Partly sunny, hot and humid with a chance of showers and thunderstorms, high in the low 90s.

TUESDAY – AUG 9 – Partly sunny, hot and humid with a chance of showers and thunderstorms, high near 90.
