Another nice day today with plenty of sunshine, low humidity and a nice breeze! Continued nice weather Friday and Saturday! Chance of showers and quite warm and humid on Sunday! Still a chance of showers Monday and Tuesday with lower temperatures but still a little humid!

Skies are mainly clear early on this Thursday morning and temperatures at 5 a.m. range from 66 in Clifton down to 51 at Sandyston. Winds are calm or light westerly and the humidity is low with dew points mainly in the 50s.

High pressure will build into the area today to start meteorological fall and provide our area with sunny skies, warm temperatures and low humidity along with a nice breeze.

High pressure will continue to give us nice weather Friday and Saturday with plenty of sunshine again both days with seasonably warm temperatures and low humidity.

A front will move toward the area on Sunday as high pressure moves off the coast, temperatures will rise to well up into the 80s and with dew points in the upper 60s it will be a muggy day. There is a chance of mainly late day showers.

Shower chances increase for Labor Day as the front will be in our area, temperatures will be not as warm but the humidity will remain rather high.

Still a chance of mainly afternoon and evening showers on Tuesday followed by a mainly dry and warm Wednesday.

SUNDAY – SEP 4 – Partly sunny, quite warm and more humid with a chance of showers and thunderstorms mainly after 2 p.m., high in the upper 80s.

LABOR DAY – SEP 5 – Partly sunny with a chance of showers and thunderstorms, not as warm but still humid, high near 80.

TUESDAY – SEP 6 – Partly sunny with a chance of mainly afternoon and evening showers, high in the low 80s.

WEDNESDAY – SEP 7 – Mostly sunny, high in the mid 80s.

MARINE FORECAST: TODAY – West-northwest winds to 10 knots, seas 1-2 feet. Belmar’s ocean temperature is 76 degrees.

OUTLOOK – No advisories expected Friday through Monday.
