Good morning everyone!

Rain is falling over much of the area early on this Tuesday morning and temperatures are quite cool with readings at 5 a.m. ranging from 43 in Clifton down to 40 at Vernon. Winds continue to be brisk out of the north. 1.26″ of rain has fallen at my station in Clifton since midnight.

The pesky coastal storm remains nearly stationary off the Delmarva coast and bands of rain will continue today along with cloudy skies and brisk winds. Highs again will only be in the low 50s and with the wind it will feel even colder.

The low will only slowly move further offshore on Wednesday with a good chance of showers mainly in the morning.

We finally will see sunshine on Thursday as high pressure builds into the area and temperatures will rise to above normal levels.

Still mild on Friday but a cold front will cross the area by evening with only a little cloudiness.

Cool and breezy weather for the weekend but we should see sunshine both days.

Dry weather expected with milder temperatures Monday through at least next Wednesday.
