Increasing cloudiness and still chilly today with light winds! Dry and quiet weather this week with a slow warming trend! Rain likely over the New Year’s weekend along with mild temperatures!

Good morning everyone!

Skies are mainly clear early on this Monday morning and early temperatures range from 15 in Clifton down to 8 at High Point. Winds are light from the west.

CLIFTON’S SUMMARY FOR DECEMBER 26TH:

AVERAGE HIGH: 40 AVERAGE LOW: 22

YESTERDAY’S HIGH: 30 LOW: 12 PRECIPITATION: NONE

Note: On this day in 2010 we recorded 26″ of snow!

The low pressure that gave us the bitterly cold and windy weather will continue to move further north to Hudson Bay as high pressure centered near West Virginia builds closer to our area. A weak disturbance will cause more cloudiness this afternoon and evening with a chance of flurries well inland.

Dry and quiet weather will continue through Friday with a slow warming trend. Highs will be below normal on Tuesday, near normal on Wednesday and rise to well above normal for Thursday and Friday.

A low pressure system will likely give us rain mainly Saturday night into New Year’s day, temperatures will continue to be well above normal.
