Skies are partly cloudy early on this Thursday morning and early temperatures range from 45 in Clifton down to 36 at High Point. Winds are gusty out of the west.

The storm that gave us the rain and some snow is moving away from the area as high pressure builds from the west. Today will have a mixture of clouds and sun. Temperatures will be in the 40s this morning dropping to the 30s by sunset. Winds will gust to 35 mph.

Friday will be partly sunny with less wind and with seasonably mild temperatures.

This weekend will be mild and mainly dry with highs both days near 50.

Above normal temperatures will continue through the middle of next week. There is a slight chance of a shower on Monday and a better chance of rain or snow Tuesday night into Wednesday.
