Skies are mostly cloudy early on this Tuesday morning and it is muggy again, temperatures range from 65 in Clifton down to 60 at High Point and Wantage. Winds are mainly calm. The air quality is good with an index of 36.

Yesterday in Clifton we received 1.25 inches of rainfall but parts of Morris County had 4-6 inches.

Today will be another humid day with a good chance of more showers and thunderstorms as a trough of low pressure is over the area.

The trough will slowly move to our east on Wednesday but still with showers likely although the coverage will be less than today.

Thursday may be the only dry day of the week with less humidity as weak high pressure moves into our area.

More mainly afternoon and evening showers are possible Friday through the weekend as more troughs of low pressure move through the area along with an increase in humidity.

TONIGHT – Mostly cloudy and muggy with shower and thunderstorms likely, lows in the mid 60s.

WEDNESDAY – JUNE 28 – Mostly cloudy with showers likely and possibly some thunderstorms, humid, highs near 80.

THURSDAY – JUNE 29 – Partly sunny and less humid, highs in the low 80s.

FRIDAY – JUNE 30 – Partly sunny with a chance of afternoon and evening showers and thunderstorms, highs in the mid 80s.

SATURDAY – JULY 1 – Mostly cloudy with a chance of showers and thunderstorms, highs in the low 80s.

SUNDAY – JULY 2 – Mostly cloudy with a chance of showers and thunderstorms, highs in the low 80s.

MONDAY – JULY 3 – Partly sunny with a chance of showers and thunderstorms, highs in the mid 80s.

MARINE FORECAST – A small craft advisory is in effect until 6 a.m. Wednesday morning for higher seas, winds southerly to 15 knots, seas 3-6 feet.
