Skies are mainly clear early on this Wednesday morning but there is some fog over the inland valleys. It continues to be muggy and temperatures range from 70 in Clifton down to 65 at Hackettstown, Pequest and High Point. Winds are mainly calm. The air quality is unhealthy with an index of 191.

The front that caused the showers and thunderstorms yesterday is moving offshore as weak high pressure moves into our area. Today will be quite warm with highs near 90 and with dew points near 70 it will be an uncomfortable day.

Thursday will be quite warm and humid once again with only a slight chance of an afternoon and evening shower.

A slow moving front will affect our weather Friday through early next week. There will be a chance of showers and thunderstorms mainly in the afternoon Friday and Saturday with showers and thunderstorms more likely Sunday into Monday. Highs will be near normal but overnight lows will be above normal. It will continue to be humid.

High pressure will build in for Tuesday with slightly less humid air but still a chance of an afternoon and evening shower.
