Sunny and quite warm today! Very hot and humid Thursday through Saturday with a slight chance of thunderstorms Thursday afternoon and a better chance on Saturday! Dry, cooler and much less humid Sunday through the beginning of next week!

Skies are mostly clear early on this Wednesday morning but there is some patchy fog in some inland valleys. Temperatures range from 64 in Clifton down to 59 at Basking Ridge. Winds are mainly calm or light southwesterly. The air quality is moderate with an index of 58.

Today will be quite warm with plenty of sunshine as a weak high pressure moves into our area. Highs will be near 90 and the humidity will be moderate with dew points in the 60s.

Excessive heat is expected Thursday through Saturday as highs will be well up into the 90s and with dew points rising to the 70s will cause heat indexes to reach to near 105 degrees each day. There is a slight chance of thunderstorms Thursday afternoon and evening and a better chance on Saturday as a cold front moves through the area.

Much cooler and less humid Sunday through the early part of next week and we should remain dry with plenty of sunshine each day.

SATURDAY – JULY 29 – Partly sunny, hot and humid with a chance of afternoon and evening showers and thunderstorms, highs in the low 90s.

SUNDAY – JULY 30 – Mostly sunny, cooler and much less humid, highs in the mid 80s.

MONDAY – JULY 31 – Sunny, highs in the low 80s.

TUESDAY – AUG 1 – Mostly sunny, highs in the low 80s.
