Cloudy and more humid today with a chance of scattered showers! Showers and possibly some thunderstorms with heavy rain late tonight into Friday! Mainly dry weather for the weekend, warm on Saturday, slightly cooler on Sunday!

Skies are cloudy early on this Thursday morning and there are some scattered showers mainly just to our west. Temperatures range from 67 in Clifton down to 61 at High Point, Hackettstown and Walpack. Winds are light from the south. The air quality is good with an index of 29.

A warm front approaching from the west will give us cloudy skies with a chance of mainly light showers during the day today. Highs will be in the 70s but the humidity will be higher with dew points rising to the upper 60s by evening.

The warm front will be in our area on Friday with showers and possibly some thunderstorms mainly from late tonight into Friday morning with possible partial clearing in the afternoon. It will be humid with dew points rising to the low 70s.

A cold front will cross the area late Friday night with winds becoming northwest lowering the humidity for Saturday but it will be warm with highs rising to the mid 80s.

Seasonably cool with lower humidity for Sunday and Monday along with mostly sunny skies.

Another frontal system may touch off more showers on Tuesday.

TONIGHT – Muggy with a chance of showers in the evening then showers and thunderstorms with some heavy rain possible, lows near 70.

FRIDAY – AUG 25 – Humid with showers and thunderstorms mainly in the morning with some heavy rain possible, partial clearing in the afternoon, highs near 80.

SATURDAY – AUG 26 – Mostly sunny, highs in the mid 80s.

SUNDAY – AUG 27 – Mostly sunny, highs near 80.

MONDAY – AUG 28 – Mostly sunny, highs in the upper 70s

TUESDAY – AUG 29 – Partly sunny, highs near 80.
