Skies are mostly cloudy early on this Saturday morning and it is warm and muggy with temperatures ranging from 71 in Clifton down to 66 at Sandyston and High Point. Winds are mainly calm. The air quality is moderate with an index of 65.

A weak front is just off our coast and a cold front is approaching from the west. We should have partly sunny skies with warm temperatures today and gradually less humid with dew points near 70 now will fall to the low 60s by tonight.

High pressure will give us a nice day on Sunday with cooler temperatures and lower humidity.

Monday should be cool and cloudy as winds become more offshore.

A frontal system will give us a chance of showers Tuesday and Wednesday with temperatures near seasonable levels and moderate humidity.

Thursday and Friday look to be dry and cool as high pressure builds over our area.

At this point the Labor Day weekend looks to be dry and warm.

FRIDAY – SEP 1 – Mostly sunny, highs in the upper 70s.

MARINE FORECAST: TODAY – Variable winds less than 5 knots seas 2 feet. Belmar’s ocean temperature is 73 degrees.

OUTLOOK: No advisories expected Sunday through Wednesday but as Tropical Cyclone Franklin move well off shore but it still will bring a chance of dangerous rip currents along with higher swells.
