Skies are mostly cloudy early on this Wednesday morning with some areas of patchy fog. Temperatures range from 49 in Clifton down to 44 at Hackettstown and Pequest. Winds are mainly calm. The air quality is good with an index of 48.

High pressure over the area will give us a partly sunny day today with near seasonable temperatures and light winds.

A little milder on Thursday as the high pressure moves offshore and a southerly flow develops, skies should be mostly sunny.

A low pressure system will develop just offshore on Friday with showers likely, mainly from Friday afternoon through Saturday night. This will likely be the 7th straight weekend with some rain.

Dry and chilly Sunday through Tuesday and inland areas may see their first frost of the season Monday night.
