Becoming mostly sunny and a little milder today with less wind! Dry and milder Tuesday and Wednesday! Continued dry with some record high temperatures likely Thursday through Saturday! Not as warm on Sunday with a low chance of showers!

Good morning everyone!

Skies are partly cloudy early on this Monday morning and temperatures are seasonably cool with readings ranging from 44 in Clifton down to 38 at High Point. Winds are still a little gusty out of the northwest. The air quality is good with an index of 25.

CLIFTON’S ALMANAC FOR OCTOBER 23RD:

AVERAGE HIGH: 61 AVERAGE LOW: 42

RECORD HIGH: 79 – 2007 RECORD LOW: 28 – 1997

YESTERDAY’S HIGH: 58 LOW: 46 PRECIPITATION: NONE

The storm that gave us the wind yesterday is moving further away off the Nova Scotia coast as high pressure builds from the Midwest. Winds will gradually diminish today and with plenty of sunshine temperatures will be a few degrees higher than yesterday.

Dry and milder Tuesday and Wednesday with plenty of sunshine both days as the high pressure builds closer to our area.

High pressure will then settle off the southeast coast and a west-southwest flow of possible record breaking warmth Thursday through Saturday. Skies will continue to be mostly clear.

A weak front may cause a shower mainly Sunday evening, temperatures with more clouds should be a little cooler.
