Rain ending this morning then clearing with falling temperatures and strong winds! Colder on Sunday and continued windy with a chance of snow showers! Mostly sunny and continued cold on Monday but with much less wind! Some light snow likely on Tuesday! Continued cold the rest of next week with another chance of snow on Friday!

Skies are cloudy and light rain is falling over parts of the area. Temperatures are mild with readings ranging from 51 in Clifton down to 44 at High Point. Winds are gusty out of the east-southeast to 25-30 mph. The air quality is good with an index of 31.

The storm that gave us the heavy rain overnight will be moving into Eastern Canada and the rain will mainly end by sunrise followed by a strong westerly flow of colder and drier air along with some sunshine this afternoon. Some wind gusts to 40 mph are possible. Temperatures in the 50s this morning will fall to near 40 by sunset. Note the Passaic River at Little Falls will be at or near major flood levels through Monday.

Monday will be a cold day but with much less wind and mostly sunny skies.

A weak coastal storm will likely give us some light snow on Tuesday.

Cold weather will persist through the rest of next week and another weak low pressure area may give us some light snow on Friday.
