Skies are cloudy early on this Wednesday morning and there is some light rain or drizzle falling in parts of the area, further inland across higher elevations freezing rain is occurring. Temperatures range from 34 in Clifton down to 29 at High Point. Winds are calm or light easterly. The air quality is moderate with an index of 67.

A warm front is expected to pass to our north, we should see a break in the rain this morning through the middle part of this afternoon then the rain will redevelop mainly after 4 p.m. then continuing at night.

Thursday should be a mild day but with rain that will continue to Friday morning, total rainfall should be around an inch.

Dry and quite mild Friday afternoon through Saturday night.

Another low pressure area will give us more rain Sunday and Sunday night along with slightly cooler temperatures.

Mainly dry and cooler early next week as temperatures fall back to near normal levels.

SUNDAY – JAN 28 – Rain likely, highs in the low 40s.

MONDAY – JAN 29 – Partly sunny, highs in the upper 30s.

TUESDAY – JAN 30 – Partly sunny, highs in the upper 30s.
