Skies are mainly cloudy early on this Wednesday morning and temperatures are not as cool as this time yesterday with readings ranging from 37 in Clifton down to 30 at Sandyston. Winds are calm or light southerly. The air quality is good with an index of 48.

Today will be a milder day with mainly mostly sunny skies. A cold front will swing through the area this afternoon possibly accompanied by some light showers and followed by a westerly flow of colder air by tonight. Winds tonight will likely gust to 30 mph.

High pressure will build into the area on Thursday and it will be a cold and breezy day with highs only in the low to mid 40s.

After a chilly morning on Friday the day will not be as cold with less wind than on Thursday as the high builds closer to the area.

A low pressure system will likely give us rain on Saturday possibly beginning as a mixture of snow over the higher elevations to our north and west.

Mainly dry weather Sunday through Tuesday with temperatures near or slightly below normal.

SATURDAY – MAR 23 – Cloudy with rain likely, highs in the low 50s.

SUNDAY – MAR 24 – Partly sunny, highs near 50.

MONDAY – MAR 25 – Mostly sunny, highs in the low 50s.

TUESDAY – MAR 26 – Partly sunny, highs in the low 50s.

MARINE FORECAST: A small craft advisory is in effect until 6 p.m. this evening for southwest winds gusting to 30 knots, seas 2 feet.

OUTLOOK: A gale warning has been posted effective between 6 p.m. this evening through 6 a.m. on Thursday; small craft advisories expected to continue through the day on Thursday; no advisories expected Thursday night through the day on Friday; advisories again expected Saturday through Monday with some gale gusts possible.
