Skies are mostly cloudy early on this Saturday morning and temperatures are mild with readings ranging from 68 in Clifton down to 61 at Pequest and Hackettstown. Winds are calm or light southerly. The air quality is moderate with an index of 74.

A frontal system will be moving through our area today giving us mostly cloudy skies with showers and possibly some thunderstorms. Temperatures will not be as high as the last couple of days but the humidity will remain high.

Sunday will be a little less humid but skies will remain mostly cloudy. A weak disturbance may give us some light rain at night.

Monday a weak high pressure will build into the area but it will remain mostly cloudy.

A frontal system will give us showers during the day on Tuesday with possibly some thunderstorms.

High pressure will then build into our area on Wednesday and dominate our weather through Friday with dry conditions along with warmer temperatures.

TONIGHT – Mostly cloudy with a chance of showers mainly before 8 p.m., lows in the low 60s.

MONDAY – JUNE 9 – Mostly cloudy, highs in the mid 70s.

TUESDAY – JUNE 10 – Cloudy with showers, highs in the mid 70s.

WEDNESDAY – JUNE 11 – Sunny, highs in the low 80s.

THURSDAY – JUNE 12 – Sunny, highs in the upper 80s.

FRIDAY – JUNE 13 – Partly sunny, highs in the upper 80s.

MARINE FORECAST: A small craft advisory will be in effect for high seas until 6 p.m. this evening. Winds light and variable, seas 3-5 feet. Belmar’s ocean temperature is 61 degrees.

OUTLOOK: No advisories expected Sunday through Tuesday.
