Mostly sunny and breezy today, high temperatures may reach 40 degrees for the first time in over two weeks! Dry and seasonably cool Thursday through Saturday! A low chance of rain or snow Sunday night! Mild much of next week!

Good morning everyone!

Skies have become partly cloudy early on this Wednesday morning. Some moisture from the early morning light rain and sleet may cause some icy conditions on some untreated roads and sidewalks early this morning. Temperatures range from 28 in Clifton down to 22 at Pequest, Walpack, Sandyston and Hackettstown. Winds are mainly calm. The air quality is moderate with an index of 62.

CLIFTON’S ALMANAC FOR FEBRUARY 11TH:

AVERAGE HIGH: 39 AVERAGE LOW: 23

RECORD HIGH: 64 – 2009 RECORD LOW: 0 – 1979

YESTERDAY’S HIGH: 35 LOW: 19 PRECIPITATION: NONE

A frontal system has moved to our east this morning and high pressure building from the west will give us a mostly sunny and breezy day today. High temperatures should reach the 40 degree mark for the first time since January 22nd.

Slightly cooler Thursday and Friday as high pressure continues to build into the area. Thursday will be breezy then less wind on Friday.

Most of the weekend will be dry with near seasonable temperatures. However a low pressure area may give us some rain or snow Sunday night.

Looking further ahead it now looks like much of next week will be mild with most highs in the 40s and we may have highs near 50 Tuesday through Thursday.
