Rain ending this morning with some clearing by this afternoon and not as cool as yesterday! Dry and pleasantly mild Monday and Tuesday! Showers mainly Wednesday afternoon into Thursday morning! Dry and cool Friday through the start of next weekend!

Skies are cloudy early on this Sunday morning and the rain is ending over much of the area. Temperatures range from 40 in Clifton down to 35 at High Point. Winds are from the northeast averaging 5-10 mph. The air quality is good with an index of 29.

The low pressure area that gave us around 1 1/2 inches of well needed rain is moving off shore and the rain will end over much of the area by sunrise. Some clearing this afternoon and high temperatures will be milder than yesterday but still below normal.

High pressure over our area Monday and Tuesday will give us nice spring days with plenty of sunshine and with near normal temperatures in the mid to upper 60s.

Another disturbance will give us a chance of showers Wednesday afternoon then showers are expected Wednesday night into Thursday morning with cool temperatures.

Dry weather is expected Friday through the start of next weekend with temperatures slightly below normal.

TODAY – APR 26 – Rain ending around dawn with clearing by this afternoon, highs in the upper 50s.

TONIGHT – Mostly clear, lows in the low 40s.

MONDAY – APR 27 – Sunny, highs in the upper 60s.

TUESDAY – APR 28 – Mostly sunny, highs in the mid 60s.

WEDNESDAY – APR 29 – Partly sunny with a chance of afternoon showers, highs in the low 60s, showers at night.

THURSDAY – APR 30 – Mostly cloudy with showers likely in the morning, highs in the upper 50s.

FRIDAY – MAY 1 – Mostly sunny, highs near 60.

SATURDAY – MAY 2 – Partly sunny, highs near 60.

MARINE FORECAST: A small craft advisory is in effect until 6 a.m. Monday morning for northeast winds gusting to 30 knots, seas 4-7 feet.

OUTLOOK: Advisories expected to continue through Monday night; advisories still possible for higher seas Tuesday and Wednesday.
