Skies are mainly cloudy early on this Saturday morning and there are some showers across areas to our north. Temperatures range from 52 in Clifton down to 46 at Walpack and Sandyston. Winds are mainly calm. The air quality is moderate with an index of 54.

A warm front will move through our area today accompanied by light rain mainly from noon through 6 p.m. Rainfall amounts will average between 1/4 to 1/3 of an inch. Winds will be light.

Mother’s Day will be warmer but a cold front approaching the area will showers by evening.

Showers likely mainly Monday morning with cooler temperatures.

Weak high pressure will then build into our area on Tuesday giving us sunny skies with continued cool temperatures.

Unsettled weather Wednesday through Friday and as stronger low pressure system moves through our area. The best likelihood of rain will be Wednesday night through Thursday.

Looking ahead it appears that we will have warmer weather by next weekend that should extend to much of next week.

MONDAY – MAY 11 – Mostly cloudy with a chance of showers mainly before noon, highs in the low 60s.

TUESDAY – MAY 12 – Sunny, highs in the mid 60s.

WEDNESDAY – MAY 13 – Mostly cloudy with a chance of showers in the afternoon, highs in the low 60s, showers at night.

THURSDAY – MAY 14 – Mostly cloudy with showers likely, highs in the mid 60s.

FRIDAY – MAY 15 – Partly sunny with a chance of showers, highs in the upper 60s.

MARINE FORECAST: A small craft advisory is in effect until midnight tonight for southerly winds gusting to 25 knots, seas 3-5 feet.
