High pressure over the area today will give us a mostly sunny and hot day today. The humidity will still be rather comfortable with dew points in the low 60s.
Dangerous heat and humidity is expected Wednesday through Independence Day as a “heat dome” will dominate our weather. All-time record high temperatures are possible especially on Thursday and Friday. Dew points rising to near 70 will bring heat indexes past 110 degrees each day.
With the heat and humidity there will be a chance of scattered afternoon and evening showers and thunderstorms Friday through Monday. Also it will be less hot Sunday and Monday but highs will still be near 90 both days.
