The intense heatwave has ended as a cold front moved south of our area early this morning. Today’s high temperature will only be in the 80s but it will still be a little humid with dew points near 70. Also showers are likely to develop this afternoon into this evening with a chance of some thunderstorms.

Low pressure along the front just to our south will cause well needed heavy rain Monday into early Tuesday. Rainfall amounts will average between 1-3 inches with some higher amounts possible. Highs both days will only be in the 70s.

Weak high pressure will then build into the area giving us dry weather Wednesday through the day on Friday along with seasonably warm temperatures.
