Skies are partly cloudy early on this Wednesday morning and temperatures at 5 a.m. range from 38 in Clifton down to 29 at Walpack. Winds are light from the northeast.

We will have an increase in clouds today as high pressure moves off the coast and a low pressure system approaches from the mid-west. Some showers are possible late this afternoon but the steady rain is expected tonight. Temperatures with an onshore wind will be cooler with highs in the upper 40s to near 50.

Rain possibly heavy at times Thursday into Thursday night as the system moves through our area. Temperatures will be a few degrees higher than today. Rainfall amounts of 1 to 1 1/2″ are likely.

Friday will be a mostly sunny and mild day as high pressure builds into the area.

Saturday will start off mostly sunny but there will be a chance of showers in the afternoon and evening as a cold front crosses our area. Temperatures will be seasonably mild.

Dry but chilly and windy weather is expected Sunday through early next week with highs mainly only in the 40s and early morning lows Monday and Tuesday should be in the 20s.

SATURDAY – MAR 26 – Partly sunny with a chance of showers mainly after 2 p.m., high in the mid 50s.

SUNDAY – MAR 27 – Mostly sunny and breezy, high in the upper 40s.

MONDAY – MAR 28 – Mostly sunny, breezy and chilly, high only in the low 40s.

TUESDAY – MAR 29 – Mostly sunny, high in the mid 40s.

MARINE FORECAST: A small craft advisory has been posted effective between 4 p.m. this afternoon through 6 a.m. Friday morning for east winds becoming southeast and gusting to 30 knots, seas building to 5-8 feet.

OUTLOOK – No advisories expected Friday through the day on Saturday; advisories possible Saturday night through Sunday.
