Periods of rain today and tonight but not as chilly as yesterday! Mostly sunny and pleasantly mild on Friday! Chance of a shower on Saturday followed by dry but quite cool weather Sunday through early next week!

Skies are cloudy and there is some rain falling in parts of the area. Temperatures at 5 a.m. range from 37 in Clifton down to 31 at High Point. Winds are from the northeast around 10 mph.

The low pressure system will be moving through the area today with periods of rain, there may be some dry periods especially this afternoon but more showers are expected late this afternoon through tonight. Temperatures will not be as chilly as yesterday with highs mostly in the 50s.

Friday will be a nice and pleasantly mild day with highs in the low 60s along with plenty of sunshine.

Saturday will be slightly cooler and a front may cause some scattered showers in the afternoon and evening.

Dry and chilly weather is expected Sunday through Tuesday with Monday being the coldest day with highs only in the 30s and early lows in the 20s, also gusty winds will make it feel cooler.

Not as chilly on Wednesday but another frontal system may give us a chance of rain.

FRIDAY – MAR 25 – Partly sunny, high in the low 60s.

SATURDAY – MAR 26 – Partly sunny in the morning then mostly cloudy in the afternoon and evening with a chance of showers, high in the mid 50s.

SUNDAY – MAR 27 – Partly sunny, high in the upper 40s.

MONDAY – MAR 28 – Mostly sunny and unseasonably cold, highs only in the upper 30s.

TUESDAY – MAR 29 – Sunny, high in the mid 40s.

WEDNESDAY – MAR 30 – Partly sunny with a chance of rain, high near 50.

MARINE FORECAST: TODAY – South-southeast winds becoming northwest in the afternoon around 15 knots, seas near 5 feet but will be diminishing.

OUTLOOK – Advisories likely on Friday due to high seas; no advisories expected Friday night through the day on Saturday; small craft advisories expected Saturday night through the day on Sunday; possible gales Sunday night; small craft advisories expected to continue on Monday.
