Hazy (smoky) skies today with quite warm temperatures but continued low humidity! Mostly sunny and continued warm on Tuesday! Not as warm but continued dry Wednesday through Friday! The weekend looks mainly dry with an increase in humidity!

Skies are mostly clear early on this Monday morning and temperatures range from 62 in Clifton down to 51 at Sandyston. Winds are mainly calm. The air quality is moderate with an index of 62.

High pressure over the area will give us another dry day with low humidity with dew points mainly in the 50s. Some smoke from the Canadian wildfires should cause hazy skies by this afternoon.

The high pressure will continue to give us dry and warm conditions on Tuesday and not as hazy as today.

The high pressure will move off the New England coast which will give us a more of an onshore wind Wednesday through the start of the weekend. We should stay dry with somewhat lower temperatures.

At this point the weekend looks dry and seasonably warm with a slight increase in humiidty.

TONIGHT – Partly cloudy and hazy, lows in the upper 60s.

TUESDAY – AUG 5 – Partly sunny, highs near 90.

WEDNESDAY – AUG 6 – Partly sunny, highs in the mid 80s.

THURSDAY – AUG 7 – Mostly sunny, highs in the low 80s.

FRIDAY – AUG 8 – Sunny, highs in the low 80s.

SATURDAY – AUG 9 – Sunny, highs in the mid 80s.

SUNDAY – AUG 10 – Mostly sunny, highs in the upper 80s.

MARINE FORECAST: TODAY – South-southeast wind to 10 knots, seas 2-3 feet. Belmar’s ocean temperature is 74 degrees.

OUTLOOK: No advisories expected for Tuesday; advisories possible Wednesday through Friday due to higher seas.
