Mostly sunny today and not as hot or humid! Quite warm on the weekend with only a low chance of an afternoon showers and thunderstorms on Sunday! Cooler and less humid much of next with a chance of showers on Wednesday!

Skies are partly cloudy early on this Friday morning and temperatures are still warm with readings ranging from 74 in Clifton down to 64 at Sandyston. Winds are calm or light northerly. Dew points have dropped to the low to mid 60s. The air quality is moderate with an index of 55.

High pressure building from the north will give us a mostly sunny day, high temperatures will be a little lower today along with more comfortable humidity.

The weekend will be quite warm and mainly dry as high pressure moves off the coast but a cold front may cause some showers and thunderstorms Sunday afternoon and evening.

High pressure will then dominate our weather much of next week with cooler temperatures and comfortable humidity. The only chance of showers will be on Wednesday.

MONDAY – AUG 18 – Partly sunny, cooler and less humid, highs near 80.

TUESDAY – AUG 19 – Mostly sunny, highs in the upper 70s.

WEDNESDAY – AUG 20 – Partly sunny with a chance of showers, highs in the upper 70s.

THURSDAY – AUG 21 – Mostly sunny, highs near 80.

OUTLOOK: No advisories expected Saturday and Sunday; possible advisories Monday through Thursday due to soon to be Hurricane Erin which is expected to remain well off shore but winds and waves should increase.
