Skies are mostly cloudy early on this Tuesday morning and temperatures are nearly 10 degrees higher than this time yesterday with readings ranging from 61 in Clifton down to 55 at Sandyston and Wantage. Winds are calm or light southerly. The air quality is good with an index of 39.

Today will be a summerlike day for the first full day of autumn as high pressure moves offshore and a cold front approaches from the northwest. Temperatures will rise to the 80s and dew points will rise to the upper 60s. Some well needed showers and thunderstorms are likely mainly after 5 p.m.

The cold front will move into our area on Wednesday and there will be a low chance of showers during the day becoming more likely at night.

Unsettled weather will continue Thursday and Friday with showers most likely on Thursday with a lesser chance on Friday.

Still a low chance of showers on Saturday followed by dry weather Sunday and Monday.
