Mostly sunny and very warm again today with some record high temperatures possible! Not quite as warm but more humid and becoming breezy on Tuesday with showers later at night! Showers Wednesday morning and becoming much cooler! Dry and cool Thursday through the day on Saturday! Possible rain Saturday night into Sunday!

Skies are mainly clear early on this Monday morning and some inland areas have patchy fog. Temperatures range from 58 in Clifton down to 47 at Hackettstown and Sandyston. Winds are calm or light southwesterly. The air quality is moderate with an index of 60.

High pressure is offshore and we will continue to have a southwest flow of unseasonably warm air again with some record highs possible. Skies will be sunny.

On Tuesday the high will move further offshore as a cold front approaches from the west. The day will be mostly sunny with slightly lower temperatures. The humidity will rise somewhat by the afternoon and it will be a little breezy. Showers are expected with the front later Tuesday night.

Showers and possibly a thunderstorm Wednesday morning and it will then turn much cooler as the front moves to our east. Expected rainfall amounts will be between 1/2 to 3/4 of an inch.

High pressure will dominate our weather Thursday through the day on Saturday giving us dry conditions along with cool temperatures.

There is some indications that a weak coastal low will move up the coast possibly giving us rain Saturday night into Sunday, temperatures will be seasonably cool.

TUESDAY – OCT 7 – Mostly sunny and becoming breezy and more humid, highs in the low 80s. Showers likely at night.

WEDNESDAY – OCT 8 – Mostly cloudy with showers and possibly a thunderstorm in the morning then a chance of showers in the afternoon, becoming cooler, highs near 70.

THURSDAY – OCT 9 – Sunny and cool, highs in the low 60s.

FRIDAY – OCT 10 – Sunny, highs in the mid 60s.

SATURDAY – OCT 11 – Mostly sunny, highs near 70, chance of rain at night.

SUNDAY – OCT 12 – Partly sunny with a chance of rain, highs in the upper 60s.

MARINE FORECAST: TODAY – Southerly winds to 10 knots, seas 2 feet.
