Skies are cloudy early on this Tuesday morning and temperatures range from 51 in Clifton down to 46 at High Point. Winds are still gusty out of the north. The air quality is good with an index of 21.

The coastal storm that gave us the rain and wind the last couple of days is moving further away from our area today. Skies will be mainly cloudy with some breaks of sunshine. It still will be rather breezy with some gusts to 25 mph.

Wednesday will be a little milder but still breezy with more sunshine. A cold front will move through the area in the afternoon with only some broken clouds.

Dry and cooler Thursday and Friday, winds will still be gusty on Thursday with less wind on Friday. Canadian high pressure will dominate.

A mild weekend is expected as the high moves offshore. A cold front is expected to move through Sunday night possible accompanied by some showers Sunday afternoon through Monday morning.

TONIGHT – Mostly cloudy in the evening then clearing, lows in the low 50s.

FRIDAY – OCT 17 – Sunny, highs in the low 60s.

SATURDAY – OCT 18 – Mostly sunny, highs near 70.

SUNDAY – OCT 19 – Partly sunny with a chance of showers in the afternoon and night, highs in the mid 70s.

MONDAY – OCT 20 – Partly sunny with a chance of a morning showers, highs in the upper 60s.

MARINE FORECAST: A gale warning is in effect until 4 p.m. this afternoon for northeast winds gusting to 35 knots, seas 6-10 feet.

OUTLOOK: Advisories to continue for Wednesday and Thursday; no advisories expected for Friday and Saturday.
