Skies are mostly clear early on this Tuesday morning and temperatures range from 45 in Clifton down to 36 at Hackettstown. Winds are from the west averaging between 5-10 mph. The air quality is good with an index of 25.

Strong low pressure off the New England coast along with high pressure building from the west will give us a strong westerly flow of dry air. High temperatures will be near normal.

Milder on Wednesday but still windy ahead of a weak cold front that will come through mostly dry at night.

Mostly sunny and cooler on Thursday as high pressure builds back into our area.

Friday will be milder after a cool start, a frontal system will likely give us rain Friday night into early Saturday morning.

Dry weather with seasonably mild temperatures on Saturday but another frontal system will give us another chance of rain on Sunday.

The coolest air of the season is likely early next week with highs both Monday and Tuesday will only be in the 40s with lows well down into the 30s with 20s likely further inland.

TONIGHT – Mostly clear, lows near 40.

WEDNESDAY – NOV 5 – Partly sunny and windy, highs in the mid 60s, wind gusts to 30 mph during the day and 36 mph in the evening.

THURSDAY – NOV 6 – Mostly sunny and still breezy, highs in the mid 50s, wind gusts to 28 mph.

FRIDAY – NOV 7 – Partly sunny, highs near 60. Rain likely at night.

SATURDAY – NOV 8 – Chance of an early morning shower then becoming partly sunny, highs in the low 60s.

SUNDAY – NOV 9 – Mostly cloudy with a chance of rain, highs near 60.

MONDAY – NOV 10 – Mostly sunny and chilly, highs only in the upper 40s.

MARINE FORECAST: A small craft advisory is in effect until 6 p.m. this evening for northwest winds gusting to 30 knots, seas 3-6 feet.

OUTLOOK: Advisories likely Wednesday through the day on Thursday with possible gales Wednesday night; no advisories expected Thursday night; advisories again likely for Friday and Saturday.
