Milder on Sunday with a chance of rain in the afternoon and evening! Chilly early next week with a chance of rain both days with some snow possible inland on Tuesday!

Skies are mostly cloudy early on this Wednesday morning and temperatures are unseasonably mild with readings ranging from 52 in Clifton down to 47 at Sandyston, High Point and Wantage. Winds are calm or light southwesterly. The air quality is good with an index of 47.

Today will be a very mild day as the warm front that caused the rain last night has moved to our north and we will have a southwest flow ahead of a cold front that will come through this evening. Most high temperatures will be in the low 60s. There is a chance of showers but most of the day will be dry with even some breaks of sunshine.

Much colder and windy for Thanksgiving Day and Friday as a storm will be over eastern parts of Canada and high pressure building from the west. The pressure gradient will cause gusts to 35 mph on Thanksgiving and even higher winds on Friday with peak gusts to 45 mph. Both days will be partly to mostly sunny.

Still breezy and dry on Saturday with continued chilly temperatures as the high pressure builds closer to our area.

Milder on Sunday with less wind but a frontal system may give us some rain in the afternoon and evening.

Unsettled weather with a chance of rain on Monday as the frontal system will be in our area.

On Tuesday a low pressure may develop to our south giving us a chance of rain with possible snow inland.

TONIGHT – Mostly cloudy in the evening then becoming mostly clear, windy and colder, lows in the mid 30s. Wind gusts to 30 mph.

THANKSGIVING DAY – NOV 27 – Mostly sunny, windy and cold, highs in the mid 40s, wind gusts to 35 mph.

FRIDAY – NOV 28 – Partly sunny and very windy and cold, highs in the low 40s, wind gusts to 45 mph.

SATURDAY – NOV 29 – Sunny and breezy, highs in the low 40s.

SUNDAY – NOV 30 – Cloudy and milder with a chance rain in the afternoon and at night, highs near 50.

MONDAY – DEC 1 – Mostly cloudy with a chance of rain, highs in the upper 40s.

TUESDAY – DEC 2 – Mostly cloudy with a chance of rain with possible snow inland, highs in the low 40s.

MARINE FORECAST: A small craft advisory is in effect until 6 p.m Thursday evening for westerly winds gusting to 30 knots, seas 3-6 feet.

OUTLOOK: A gale watch has been issued effective between 6 p.m. Thursday evening through 6 p.m. Friday evening; no advisories expected for Saturday.
