Good morning everyone!

Skies are cloudy early on this Monday morning and rain is falling over much of the area. Temperatures range from 43 in Clifton down to 34 at High Point. Winds are from the northeast around 10 mph. The air quality is good with an index of 24.

CLIFTON’S ALMANAC FOR MARCH 23RD:

AVERAGE HIGH: 50 AVERAGE LOW: 34

RECORD HIGH: 77 – 2012 RECORD LOW: 16 – 2004

YESTERDAY’S HIGH: 65 LOW: 43 PRECIPITATION: .24″

The frontal system that gave us the rain overnight will be moving offshore and most of the rain will end by 8 a.m. although there may still be a chance of a light shower through noon. Temperatures will remain in the 40s and by this afternoon winds will be a little gusty. We should have slow clearing by late in the day.

Canadian high pressure will give us a dry and cool day on Tuesday.

As the high pressure moves off the coast, there will be milder air along with dry conditions for Wednesday and Thursday. Highs in the 50s on Wednesday and then in the 60s on Thursday.

Another frontal system will likely give us rain mainly Friday morning followed by partial clearing and cooler weather.

Next weekend looks to be dry and cool as another Canadian high pressure builds into our area.
